I am passionate about science, technology and healthcare. My goal is to improve healthcare systems in Africa.
I started university as a medical student but quickly realised that technology is the fuel that drives innovation in the healthcare industry. My brother taught me to code in Python and build micro-electronic circuits using an Arduino, which convinced me to pivot to a degree in biomedical engineering. During this time I was introduced to machine learning, which I explored while completing a complimentary degree in electrical and information engineering.
I currently work as a ML data engineer creating machine learning models and big data pipeline solutions for industry.
I love listening to podcasts about science, business, economics and psychology. I am learning Mandarin in my spare time. I am interested in brain-computer interfaces and quantum machine learning. I would like to retire as a mathematics/technology teacher and cricket coach.
